I spent about a year writing this story. It's the longest story I've ever completed. It's not your typical love story. Hope you enjoy it!

Lightning
You remind me of lightning.
Majestic, wondrous, beautiful.
Destructive, callous, harmful.
Fortunately, as with lightning, you lasted only for a moment.
Introduction
This is a little spot I created for something I'm creating. A world you might say. Allow me to explain.
Over the past few years, my brain has been compiling story after story in my head. And, over the years, I've merged most of them into a coherent timeline and story. Most of these just sit there. However, I'd like to start actually writing some of them (or continuing the ones I've started). So, I'm going to chronicle my progress here so I can see how much I actually do. Out of all the stories I've started, I've completed very few of them (only two come to mind), and neither fall in this timeline I've created. So, it would be nice to have at least one under my belt.
The other reason I've created this is because sometimes the stories in my head run into a brick wall (or at least my motivation). But, I do like a challenge. One thing I've thought of is taking on a style like Songs to Wear Pants to and write based on requests. Now, I'm not necesarilly going to do this for a living like he does, but I figured set up a place where people can request stories and I write them. Sure, they wouldn't be very long. But, it would be a fun way to get my mental juices flowing. However, I won't take any request. For example, I wouldn't write a story about a book that, when read, carries you into an alternate dimension where only pedophiles are allowed to become president (Yes, someone asked for that). They have to be somewhat pallatable.
Well, that's it. I might post a few stories I've already written. They'll be links as they're long. The only stories I post will be microfiction or short stories. Nothing that would take a lot or multiple parts. Suggest anything in the comments below and I'll see what I can do.
